The climate emergency requires action from all of us.
In early 2022, the ICS worked on an agreed Green Plan. Addressing our impact on our environment and reducing our carbon emissions is an essential part of providing high quality, sustainable healthcare for our population.
As part of the Green Plan, we will need to look at our impact at work as employees and the way we design and deliver services.
There are also actions that we can take personally to reduce our domestic carbon footprint and the biodiversity decline.
The Green Staff Network was formed in February 2022 to bring interested, enthusiastic and concerned staff together to support each other and work with the wider staff group to have a bigger impact.
- Raise awareness about the global environmental crisis for individuals and the organisation.
- Galvanise a call to action
- Empower as many people as possible to make changes that will help address the climate emergency
